Sofia Barton has worked with BBC Scotland and Stills Gallery in Edinburgh. Having gained a BA Hons in Photography and Film. She returned to art and started painting again with the support of the Princes Trust in 2017. Since then her work has gained a lot of popularity. Exhibitions and work has included Spilt Milk Gallery and Nasty Women UK. Recently painted Brightside Elmer for Wild in Art/ Great North Elmer Parade in the aid of St. Oswald’s Hospice due for auction in November 2019.
She has also appeared on BBC Newcastle, in the Evening Chronicle tackling issues about social enterprises, ethnic minorities and other issues facing female artists.
